Board of Directors and Executive Leadership

Journeymen is able to accomplish so much in the lives of the young people we work with due to the vision, leadership, and contributions of the folks below. In addition to the directors and board leadership, we have a rich community of journeymen champions who make this work possible. We are so grateful for these mentors, parents, volunteers, partners, businesses, and individuals.

Jordan Bowman

Executive Director

At 14 years old, Jordan attended a Rites of Passage experience that changed the trajectory of his life. Wanting every young person to experience this type of community and support, he and his dad, Jeff Bowman, started Journeymen Triangle. After years of training as a mentor, board member, and obtaining a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from NC State he took the role of ED in 2019.

Currently Residing in Garner, NC - Jordan seeks to provide community support circles around the Triangle and throughout the state and region. When he is not engaged in Journeymen, he is busy with other projects focused on social entrepreneurship, education, and community building.

John Craichy, MBA, MSW, LCSWA is a management consultant, personal coach, and family therapist. Liz Christman, Journeymen Triangle, Board Treasurer

Liz Christman

Board Treasurer

Liz Christman, J.D., is an attorney and product manager at LexisNexis, based in Raleigh, NC. Originally from California, Liz moved to Raleigh with her husband and two teenage sons in 2018. As a product manager, she leads the development of software solutions to support efficient and effective legal research. Liz earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal Poly Humboldt and her JD from California Western University, where she graduated with honors.

Liz became involved with Journeymen when she heard about it from a colleague and her younger son joined the organization in 2019. The opportunities for forming positive connections with a community of mentors and peers was a game changer for her son, particularly after uprooting from California, and then experiencing the isolation and disconnection caused by the global COVID pandemic. She was inspired to join the Board to help bring others to this incredible community and grow the organization’s reach, so others know they are not alone in these issues.

A native of Durham, NC, Michael has enjoyed a School Counseling career in our public schools for the past thirty years.  He currently serves as an Instructional Specialist with Wake County Public Schools (WCPSS) - where he facilitates Restorative Practice Circles in elementary, middle, and high schools for students, faculty, and staff.  Michael also leads trainings for WCPSS faculty and staff in Community Resiliency Model (CRM), a skills-based program that serves to reset the natural balance of our nervous system.

Michael earned a B.Arts in English from Wake Forest University and an M.Ed in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.  He later earned a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University of New Orleans and is a Certified Spiritual Director.

Michael is the proud uncle of three nieces and six nephews. In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry, taking photographs of landscapes, and leading retreats.
